Teachers from around the United States were selected to become ATTEC (Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center)Fellows for a 12 day trip to Alaska. We were charged with developing curriculum for virtual field trips through Google Earth. This is the blog of our trip.

Cold Climate Housing Research Center Fireplace
They had this really cool fireplace that gets over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit--it is more like an oven, and opens from the side. They say it is very efficient and has very little ash or soot left.
